My brother, Scout, is neurotic. Even the neighbor's chickens that visit our yard scare him. I've never seen such a jumpy insecure cat.

Other times he's just gotta come around licking my face and following me around or sitting too close, his mind about as empty as a checkbook at the end of the month.

He's claustrophobic and will do just about anything to have plenty of space from which to view whatever's happening. If he feels the least bit unsure of things, he'll run, and he'll claw his way out even if that's worse that sticking around to face whatever it is he fears.

He has an odd fascination with the lizards and snakes that live here.

No, not like Mom a bit. Not a bit...
